Calling all last minute shoppers! May the odds be ever in your favor….

Man alive those holidays are coming at us fast, no? Molly and I have been hard at work for weeks nailing down our own gift lists and creating gift guides full of treasures (for moms, tween girls, tween boys, grandparents, in laws, Etsy-lovers, Grinchy guys n’ gals, and foodies). With about a week until Christmas day, you might be scrambling for a last minute gift you have forgotten…or is that just me? With speedy shipping, creative thinking, and a bit of a pressure-makes-a-diamond strategy you can still find the perfect little something before Christmas next week. Now go forth and shop and be a little bit merry if you can, too.

Where do we stand on gift cards as gifts? I think a gift card is always a great go to and can be packaged up so cute! They are a great last minute grab and you can pair them with relevant items for a sweet little gift. Are you shopping for a book nerd (hey, we are book nerds too) then you might love a certificate to Bookshop.org which supports local book stores. You can even pair it with a cute book light or bookmark. Snagging something for your mail person, a teacher, a neighbor, or someone who you might not know their favorite things as intimately? Swipe a gift card at the Target check out or gift them some dollars at Amazon for whatever their heart desires.

Oooooh, you’re shopping for me?? You shouldn’t have! But I’m glad you did because this Dossier Floral Marshmallow perfume is my signature scent and it’ll arrive in Prime time. I also love these gold hoops and could really use wireless earbuds that are VERY cute and VERY helpful for my half marathon training.

A little Movie Night Popcorn Set from Target paired with bottle of something bubbly and a cute bowl? Hello, perfect for movie lovers. I love to gift “family night” themed gifts for the parents I know so this could be cute paired with a board game too. Did someone say board games? Hold space for the Wicked fandom of 2024 with Wicked Monopoly (branded Monopoly or Clue variations are my favorite, for real). Looking for another board game recc? We did a whole download about our fave games.

This Beautiful by Drew Barrymore slow cooker and Scrub Mommy Set is very “me.” I love Drew and her Beautiful appliances are all over my kitchen. Add in that Scrub Mommy? Perfect for seasoned home cooks and those just starting out in their first apartment alike. Know someone looking to elevate their cooking game in the new year? I have worked with my beloved Anova Culinary for years and their recently released Precision Cooker Mini is a budget-friendly, sous vide-perfect gift that you can get in a snap.

If you’re shopping for any teens at the last minute like I am, I LOVE the trendy nostalgia of this Polaroid Go Generation 2 instant camera (it also makes me feel VERY old that things like this are “retro” but its fine, this is fine). I also love this mini fridge that can be used as a little bedroom hydration station OR a beauty/skincare fridge. I’m considering unboxing it and filling it with my cousin’s favorite Ollipop flavors.

A subscription! Looking for something that doesn’t scream, “I panic bought this!” and they can use it all year? Look to a subscription. A few years ago, basically when my baby nephew became a teenager, I started encouraging his love of The Office and Parks & Rec with a yearlong subscription to Peacock. My other nephew is VERY into football so I got him a football Sport Box yearlong subscription and he got quality stuff that was useful for practice. Big hit and maybe I’m Aunt of the Year. Maybe! Looking for something off screen and sport-free? As a flower fanatic nothing makes me happier than a bouquet of fresh blooms on my entryway table every day and a sub to BloomsyBox is such a gorgeous gift. Shopping for the resident dog lover in your life? I love gifting Barkbox since they have quality products and fun surprises every month.
I love to shop and find sales or unique gifts all year long so, if you’re interested, you can keep up with my shopping picks here and here. Tell me, are you done with your holiday shopping yet?
Thank you for supporting The PR Edit – your support is a gift you give us all year round and we truly appreciate it. Please consider subscribing or sharing our work with someone who might find it helpful.
