The priorities go: Kendrick Lamar, all the appetizers, and then the sports ball in that exact order…

The Kendrick Lamar and SZA concert…er Super Bowl…is right around the corner and that means one of my favorite things is upon us: party food. I love a dip, app, and handheld bite over here and I have been collecting recipes over the last few weeks, as well as digging out some tried and true recipes for the big game. My family never really goes cuckoo for the Super Bowl (it’s a different story for the World Series). We make a little snack board, watch the game, chat about the commercials, and ultimately, I read a book and eat lil dips while the sports ball gets thrown around and my husband tries his best to explain to me how it all works. I’ve been the personality hire of any Super Bowl party I’ve ever been invited to and I love that for me!

So, while I may not be passionate about football, I am passionate about a great snack board. Last year we did fruit, veggies, dips, and the most amazing cookies a friend sells (plus a little troll-y Taylor Swift cookie to top it off because I think I am so funny). Some of the top bites I’m making this year?

Salty Bites & Alllllll the Dips

Green Goddess Dip from Baked by Melissa is one of my husband’s favorite things I make and it is so easy. Like chop, toss in blender, stir together kind of easy. We pair it with blue corn chips or jicama for a perfect little crunch. Plus it is a nutrient powerhouse and I swear I glow after I eat it.

Mango Salsa Recipe from Food Network is a kiddo favorite here so we usually nix any jalapenos. My youngest is a salsa fanatic and will eat it in a bowl with a spoon.

-Veggies and protein ranch from Finally Allison is a power punch of flavor and protein. This is the best recipe I’ve tried and is creamy enough to use as a dip or dressing.

-New this year I am making these Totchos from AllRecipes and these Crispy Potatoes with Vegan Nacho Sauce from Good Housekeeping to make the meal a little more substantial.

Sweets & Desserts

-You can never go wrong with fresh fruit so I always stock our snack plate with grapes, cherries, blueberries, or whatever else I find on sale in the produce aisle.

-We are trying s’mores nachos from Delish for dessert this year because my oldest could live off of a good s’more all year long.

-Keep it handheld! If you are lucky enough to have a friend who makes amazing cookies (hi, Sprinkles and Sparkles!) then I say put your favorite cookie recipe on your agenda or grab a set of football themed break-and-bakes from the grocery store for an easy, sweet bite post-halftime concert.

What are your go-to Super Bowl recipes??
