Welcome to The PR Edit’s Page Turners, a monthly feature featuring all books we read the previous month and what we are stacking our TBR with for the weeks ahead. As two bookworms we believe reading is not a competition and there’s no wrong way to be a reader. We are constantly adding to our TBR stack and leafing through books from a bunch of genres. So if you’re looking for your next read or listen? Here’s what we’re currently diving into…
Sarah’s Pages
-Number of Books Read in April: 16
-Favorite Book from the Month: I read a ton of great books but the one I keep recommending to people is Mostly Dead Things by Kristen Arnett. It was a unique family drama that really just kept me reading.
-One that was Underwhelming: No big duds! I would say the only book from this month that I’m not recommending to everyone and their mother is The Wedding Party. It wasn’t a bad book by any stretch but there were SO many characters that it left my brain a little wobbly.
-What’s on My May TBR: Two of my favorite writers have new books and I am SO excited! I have both ready to read. Nat Cassidy released When the Wolf Comes Home (if you have not read Nestlings, please do) and Noelle W. Ihli released Such Quiet Girls. May is gonna be spooky good.
-Where to Keep Up with My Book Stack: I track my reads with The StoryGraph and have running library wishlists on ShopMy and Pinterest.
Molly’s Pages
-Number of Books Read in April: 5
-Favorite Book from the Month: Regretting You, by Colleen Hoover – It seemed a lot different from other Colleen Hoover books I’ve read and I enjoyed the characters!
-One that was Underwhelming: Here One Moment, by Liane Moriarty. It was my first book of hers and I’m not really in a rush to find another. It reminded me in an unfortunate way of The Measure, by Nikki Erlick, which I was not a fan of.
-What’s on My MayTBR: For the entire month of April, I was unable to place holds on books at my library because they were updating software. I’m finally back in action, but unfortunately all of my “expired holds” which is where I sometimes store the top priorities of my TBR have disappeared. I know I want to read Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him (it’s being made into a movie!), but I’ll have to check out my Pinterest board to get some more inspo and fill up my queue.
-Where to Keep Up with My Book Stack: I pin ideas from Pinterest and track my progress toward my 100 books for 2025 on GoodReads.
We are both always looking to stack our TBRs so tell us, what are you reading this month?
Speaking of reading…thanks for reading our words! We cannot thank our supporters enough and our work exists because of YOU. Please consider subscribing or sharing to keep the pages turning.
