Welcome to The PR Edit’s Page Turners, a monthly feature featuring all books we read the previous month and what we are stacking our TBR with for the weeks ahead. As two bookworms we believe reading is not a competition and there’s no wrong way to be a reader. We are constantly adding to our TBR stack and leafing through books from a bunch of genres. So if you’re looking for your next read or listen? Here’s what we’re currently diving into…
Sarah’s Pages
-Number of Books Read in July: 19 (my kids had a couple summer camps so LOTS of time for audiobooks while working)
-Favorite Book from the Month: I read quite a few good ones! I think my tops were The Life Impossible by Matt Haig and Good Neighbors by Sarah Langan. Super different books but both kept me engaged and wanting to read.
-One that was Underwhelming: Don’t be mad at me because I know people LOVE her but Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter was too long for me. I was invested and then I wasn’t and realized I had like 200 pages left. Maybe next time, Karin.
-What’s on My August TBR: Summer is winding down and I’m finishing up some quick reads like Everyone is Lying to You. Then it’ll be time for ALL the witchy reads!
-Where to Keep Up with My Book Stack: I track my reads with The StoryGraph and have running library wishlists on ShopMy and Pinterest.
Molly’s Pages
-Number of Books Read in July: 7
-Favorite Book from the Month: I had a LOT of favorites in July (including both Funny Story and Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry), but I think my favorite was The Newcomer, by Mary Kay Andrews.
-One that was Underwhelming: I am a “lifelong” fan of Stephen King – give me It or The Shining any day … I was not a huge fan of Never Flinch. Shrug!
-What’s on My August TBR: I’ll just leave this vid of books I took to the beach right here.
-Where to Keep Up with My Book Stack: I pin ideas from Pinterest and track my progress toward my 100 books for 2025 on GoodReads.
We are both always looking to stack our TBRs so tell us, what are you reading this month?
Speaking of reading…thanks for reading our words! We cannot thank our supporters enough and our work exists because of YOU. Please consider subscribing or sharing to keep the pages turning.
