As you may have been able to tell from my post last week, I love fall! It’s the season of my birthday AND my wedding anniversary (15 years this year, baby!) plus great food, football games and so much more. If you’re on the TikTok or the Instagram, you likely already know that most influencers love fall too – decorate with me or shop for fall decor videos are already being posted en masse. It’s hard to not just “add to cart” every single, adorable piece that shows up on my phone screen, but I am trying to spend the year of 2025 being WAY more intentional and mindful about how I spend my dough, so I’ve spent a bit of time finding the items that would truly bring me joy and add the serious cozy vibes to our home that I crave. I thought I’d share in case any of these also resonated with you! In case you’re already way ahead of me and looking at Christmas decor, here’s my post on that from last year to help inspire!

Cozy Couch Accessories

I already mentioned that cozy couch snuggling is a huge must for me in the fall months, and in addition to cozy blankets, there are a couple of throw pillows I’d love to add in to give our couch a punch of colors of the season. These embossed beauties come in the richest hues.

I also love this little cutie pop accent pillow.

Michael’s, $9.99

Candles & Scents

I mentioned candles in my last post too, but another great way to grab the fall scent for your home is through the magic of essential oils. We have a diffuser in almost every room in our house, but the oils have come a long way to cater to seasonality. Definitely picking up this pumpkin spice oil! BTW, these are ALSO great for making your laundry smell amazing. Just grab a few wool dryer balls and sprinkle with your favorite fall scent and BOOM it follows you wherever you may go.

Amazon, $11.99

There’s also the apple option, if that’s more your fall-scent speed.

Amazon, $13.95

If you don’t already have a diffuser OR you want one that gives specifically fall cozy feelings, this one that simulates the look of flames is awesome.

Amazon, $29.99

Ambience-wise, I love the look of a candle with several wicks. Very fall vibes.

Target, $44.99

Dining & Kitchen

This is not a category that I normally prioritize so we don’t own a ton of seasonal items in this realm, unless someone has gifted it to us. But since so much of my fall enjoyment comes from cooking and baking fall dishes, I figure I should probably throw a little seasonality into the kitchen to complete the celebration.

I love this subtle pumpkin shaped cutting board – it’s functional, but can also serve as a charcuterie board platter or just hang out on the counter and look cute!

Amazon, $29.99

Of course, we do have a COUPLE fall-themed mugs, but we drink coffee every day, sooooo…can you ever have too many? Probably not. I love these Anthropologie-esque options.

World Market, $14.99

I’m not always a huge fan of “tabletop decor” for the sake of it. You have to lift it to dust and clean and I think it’s easy to overdo it and move into the “cluttered” category. But these jars would be the perfect permanent centerpiece on our farmhouse dining table this fall.

Etsy, $34.99

I’ve always loved the idea of the Le Creuset pumpkins, but that price tag is woof. Luckily, these guys have swooped into the rescue.

Amazon, $76.49

Pumpkin & Seasonal Decor

Personally, I’m a wreath enthusiast. We have one for every occasion (including the Fourth of July), but fall offers a plethora of wreathy choices. I love this in one of the best colors of fall.

Target, $39.99

We have the most amazing wicker pumpkins (I think they are from Crate & Barrel?) that I’ve had for YEARS and I don’t think they sell them anymore. This option from Pottery Barn is close!

Pottery Barn, $38.99

If I was going to re-buy a pumpkin option for my mantel, I love a pumpkin in an unexpected hue.

Anthropologie, $38

Outside

I’m a big fan of seasonal florals (hanging baskets, marigolds galore!), but I also love this little touch of fall that lights up a night and would be the perfect touch to the pathway leading up to our porch.

Amazon, $19.99

I also love the lantern/gourd combo for stairs, if you have the room for it.

“I was inspired by the existing landscaping around the porch,” says Leslie Davis of Paper Daisy Design. “When the maple tree just outside the front door changes colors, it becomes a vibrant a crimson color. I wanted to highlight the purples and deep reds and work with the ivory tones of the brick, too.”“I love a pulled-together look that coordinates with your house and landscape,” Leslie says. “Consider what fall looks like in your region or yard and mimic it for a more natural design. [For example,] we have three mature magnolia trees in the front yard and the use of the magnolia leaves in the wreaths seem right at home.”

This suncatcher would be a perfect pop of fall hanging from the rafters of our partial pergola on the deck.

Etsy, $26.49

Generally, I don’t prioritize fall decor. We have quite a bit of Halloween “stuff,” so it’s always felt a little wasteful to buy more that we’ll only have the month of September to enjoy. This year, I’m indulging in a few pieces that add coziness and joy to our lives alongside the season. But, no need to go broke decorating for fall, right?

What pieces do you have your eye on this year for fall? Any goodies I missed?
