November Currently

Here’s what the brains behind Less & More  are currently eating, doing, thinking, and more…

Welcome to Currently,  a monthly feature on Less & More! A throwback to old school blogging, Currently posts were some of our favorite ways to see what our fave blogger girls were wearing, listening to, and more. Now it is a fun way to share a quick snapshot of what is going on right at this absolute minute for both Molly and Sarah.

So Molly is currently…

….eating so much PIE! As you might remember from last November, October-December are pretty much peak pie season in our house. Ella and Dan have both perfected their pie crusts, and for my birthday, Ella made me the most delicious apple pie with crumble on top. For a recent get together, she made another, while Dan made individual pumpkin pies that you could almost finish off in one bite. Can’t wait for the next one on Thanksgiving!

…making so many lists. December brings grade parent duties galore at school, as well as family birthdays (including my daughter’s!) and of course, the BIG SHOW. Trying to stay organize, not spend my life savings and keep my sanity. Lists are the answer!

…listening to some new podcasts about organization. Some of them are very “duh,” but occasionally you find a good nugget!

…reading Little Women. I like to buy Ella a book for her birthday every year that has a good movie version. We’ve done Matilda and James and the Giant Peach, Harry Potter and Charlotte’s Web. Since Little Women has some great holiday scenes, she and I are both reading the book so we can hopefully watch the movie together in December this year.

…watching the new Frankenstein movie. We recently watched this (over three nights – it’s a long one!) and both Dan and I loved it. I’ve been recommending it to anyone I chat about shows with. It’s the perfect amount of creepy.

…loving getting a head start on “DEEP” cleaning tasks. Every year, over my “Christmas break,” I do things I don’t usually have the patience or time for – taking everything out of cabinets and wiping everything down, cleaning the oven, etc. This past weekend, I got my kids on the right track. We spent HOURS throwing things away, picking clothes to donate and combing through every item in drawers and closets. It feels so much more relaxing to put them to bed!

 …looking forward to

And Sarah is currently…

….eating all the soup. After being under the weather for a week I am trying to revive my little immune system and helping her along with my favorite golden soup recipe. I pair it with gluten free pretzel things and y-u-m.

…making so many holiday gifts! More on it later but I try to really lean into thoughtful, meaningful gifting and this year decided to make or upcycle a good chunk of our gifts. It is so fun to make everything but also means I have created my own Etsy store right in my own home.

…listening to new podcasts! I made the switch from Spotify to Wondery and have been discovering lots of new listens. Some new fave companions for my workday include Say Yes! with Carla Hall and Imagined Life

…reading all the books! After a light reading month in October I am back into the swing of my usual reading. I just finished  Low Pressure by Sandra Brown and immediately started this month’s book club pick The Frozen River.

…watching Modern Family with my oldest. He loves a good sitcom and I introduced him to the Pritchett fam a few weeks ago. I luv u, Cam.

…loving cozy evenings. I know, I know. It IS very tough when the days are so much shorter but I kind of lean in and enjoy the cozy. I have been trying to really make time to do hobbies I love like knitting or reading instead of doomscrolling. I’m fully in my lil granny era and I love it.

…looking forward to the holidays! I am part Christmas elf and have already decorated our house and am planning out Cookiefest 2025. After a tough few weeks I needed some dang tinsel-covered JOY.

We’re Sarah and Molly

Sarah and Molly were bloggers many moons ago – back in the earlier 2000’s when blogging was all the rage and we spent the first 30 minutes of every work day (in the office we shared together) AIM’ing links back and forth to each other to catch up on all the tea. We launched The PR Edit in 2024. Less & More is the newest chapter in our blogging journey, focused on motherhood musings, shopping secrets, life lessons, and our usual chit chat.

We are so happy to have you on our corner of the Internet.
