Calling all maximalists and the people who love them! Gift season is here so let’s go shopping.

I am a maximalist to my core and can spend hours perusing knick knacks and novelty candles. I love bold prints, kooky kitchenware, and all the dopamine decor to the MAX but I don’t like clutter or things that won’t actually get used. I want a practical bag that is made entirely out of Troll dolls or something like that. I want a sweater that will keep me cozy but also is as neon as the sun. I want to be conscientious about my purchases with some flair.
So do you need ideas for your own maxi-girl wishlist or want to buy someone the perfect, loud something? Look no further because I live to shop. No matter what stage of motherhood your gift recipient is in (or none at all!), let’s find them the perfect little something that will make them declare, “You get me!”

Get Bejeweled: Give me the gift of chunky, bright jewelry always! I love these 1980s-inspired beaded hoops so much since they are a perfect statement set without being *too* over-the-top. Want a big, bold franchise earring? I was gifted these Muppety earrings from a friend and they are bold and fun. Looking for something with a more demure sparkle? These glittery bows are great for holiday gatherings and beyond.
Happy Home: Gift some big colors and prints for your loved one! Whether they need something practical with a little pop, like these checkered bath towels, or just a little extra decor, like this super fun popsicle mirror, a home gift is a goooood gift. In your chic, fun granny era? These Furbish needlepoint pillows are my new FAVE. I am dying for the Cher-inspired pillow to add to my big, comfy couch.
Kitchen Kitsch: I live in my kitchen and love to cook/bake/hang out there so it needs to be VERY cute and colorful. I pass this on through holiday gifts in big and small ways. I love these little bread magnets, spongebird, flowery snack dishes that can double as a key dish or ring dish, and food inspired mug rugs for someone looking for a little crazy. This super colorful print is perfect for a bigger moment. I also love vases and repurposing them. I currently keep my big spoons and spatulas on the counter in a cute Ban.do vase. This tomato can vase is begging me to buy it and fill it with tomato-themed products for one of my best friends (I will absolutely include this Compartes tomato chocolate bar because I can’t stop thinking about it) and maybe I’ll include a recipe for Tomato Lemonade.
Sweet Self Care: Smell sweet to the m-a-x with this pistachio delight perfume that I can’t get enough of. I also love to make a gift basket of self care and beauty essentials and these candy bomb bath bombs are colorful and useful while the Too Faced Disco Crush is great for your favorite queen of sparkle. I am also planning a little matcha-themed self care gift for my cousin and I went down a real rabbithole of cute matcha sets and plan to pair it with a super soft green blanket and some matcha beauty products.
Kooky Candles: You know I love to give a candle as a gift and firmly believe in actually burning those novelty and fancy candles (reminder: your life IS the special occasion! Don’t save those things for later!). I have snagged the Uncommon Goods pasta candle set for a friend who lives for carbs and these wiggle candlesticks have been on my wishlist forever. This set of latte candles or a big cereal bowl candle are fun for a coworker or teacher, too!
Fur n’ Sparkle: I am obsessed with a faux furry jacket moment. I always have been and always will be. This blue jacket is seriously cute for day-to-day and if you want to go full maximalist? Pair it with these sequin shorts and some thick tights to battle the winter cold.
Dopamine Dressing: You can pry my dopamine decor from my cold, dead hands and that extends to my wardrobe. Know someone who loves to layer, pattern mix, and throw neon all over? I love this bold jumpsuit, these Barbie-licious hot pink sunglasses, and this sweet citrus dress. I stumbled across these candy heart Betsey Johnson sneakers and slapped them onto my own Christmas list because, holy cute.
