Welcome to Less & More’s Page Turners, a monthly feature featuring all books we read the previous month and what we are stacking our TBR with for the weeks ahead. As two bookworms we believe reading is not a competition and there’s no wrong way to be a reader. We are constantly adding to our TBR stack and leafing through books from a bunch of genres. So if you’re looking for your next read or listen? Here’s what we’re currently diving into…
Sarah’s Pages
-Number of Books Read in November: 13, my usual mix of physical and audio books heavy on the audio last month
-Favorite Book from the Month: There were a couple! I love historical fiction and The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon was really interesting. Cross My Heart by Megan Collins was a quick, fun read that reminded me a lot of So Happy Together. What can I say? I love a bonkers narrator.
-One that was Underwhelming: I didn’t read any real duds! I liked Low Pressure by Sandra Brown a lot but toward the end it started to drag and I guessed a major twist about halfway through.
-What’s on My December TBR: I have some good holds coming through from the library and that is always the best feeling. I am excited to read Wreck by Catherine Newman because her books are always cozy and like a little comfort read.
-Where to Keep Up with My Book Stack: I track my reads with The StoryGraph and have running library wishlists on ShopMy and Pinterest.
Molly’s Pages
-Number of Books Read in November: 5
-Favorite Book from the Month: I really liked The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager! I have seen very mixed reviews on this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it suspenseful and entertaining.
-One that was Underwhelming: I also read Middle of the Night by Riley Sager and didn’t like that one nearly as much. I just thought the plot was full of holes and the characters weren’t that interesting.
-What’s on My December TBR: I am still trying to get through Little Women, which I have been reading since the middle of November. It’s not as quick of a read as some of the others I’ve been tearing through! I’ve also got some nonfiction and some fun rom com style holiday reads to fluff up my holiday break.
-Where to Keep Up with My Book Stack: I pin ideas from Pinterest and track my progress toward my 100 books for 2025 on GoodReads.
We are both always looking to stack our TBRs so tell us, what are you reading this month?
