Here’s what the brains behind The PR Edit are currently eating, doing, thinking, and more…

Welcome to Currently- a monthly feature on The PR Edit! A throwback to old school blogging, Currently posts were some of our favorite ways to see what our fave blogger girls were wearing, listening to, and more. Now it is a fun way to share a quick snapshot of what is going on right at this absolute minute for both Molly and Sarah.

So Molly is currently…

….eating ALL of the pickles. I found a recipe for Pickle Lemonade in the New York Times, mentioned it to my two pickle loving friends at swim team practice, and before you knew it, I was mixing up a gallon-sized batch for us to share at the next swim meet. It’s delicious – I highly recommend! I threw in a bit of bread and butter pickle juice in there to sweeten the deal, but you definitely don’t have to!

…making things I usually buy. Namely, granola, dark chocolate sea salt tahini and ranch dressing. One Sunday I just got all feisty and started messing around in the kitchen. The results were epic, but I really think having that much chocolate tahini on hand all the time is too much for me.

@mojopr129

Today I made a trio of things we normally buy at the store. Maybe save some money. Maybe cut out some excess ingredients? Who knows? -chocolate tahini (normally buy this from Soom – so good in yogurt or on fruit) -ranch dressing -granola #humor #homemade #recipe #granola #fromscratch #recipes

…listening to Peloton outdoor workout playlists. I usually listen to audiobooks or podcasts on headphones during my daily walks, but the kids are out of school for the summer, so instead, I pick a theme we can all get down to for our morning jaunt and blast it. Sometimes, if Ella brings her hoverboard, we play it through the Bluetooth speakers in that.

…reading alllllll the summer reads. I just finished Funny Story, by Emily Henry and it was a delightfully light and airy read.

…watching Yellowstone – we still haven’t seen the second half of season 5, so I’m REAL excited to find out how things shape up and what spinoffs they leave room for.

…loving all of the old school Sega (Genesis) games we bought at a used bookstore in TN. We got NBA Jams (He’s heating up!) and NHL ‘94, as well as Lion King, Aladdin and Toy Story. I’m re-living my 90’s childhood with my kids and it’s insanity.

…looking forward to more relaxed evenings (especially on Fridays) by the pool, making more of our special poolside dinners. It rained last Friday, so our pool plans were canceled, but we prepped DIY take and bake pizzas and ate them in front of a movie instead. Anyone surprised that I loaded my slice up with pickles?

And Sarah is currently…

….eating all of the watermelon in existence. I’m not kidding, my family will go through three or so watermelons a week. I cut a giant one up in the morning for snackage throughout the day then use anything left for a little watermelon feta salad or smoothies. One of the best parts of summer.

…making situation-specific dopamine menus! I made my general menu but now I’m creating templates for different times of year so my little dopamine bites make sense for the year. Maybe my special dish is apple picking in Fall but a pottery class in winter? Let’s change it up. In my brain when I have time to organize things I’ll print these out and laminate them but…one step at a time.

…listening to this meditation for mom burn out every single day. Just trying to stay sane while doing all the things!

…reading lots of what I call “popcorn thrillers” because that is what summer is for! It doesn’t need a fancy plot or lots of complicated characters. Give me a twisty suburban who dunnit while I sit by the pool. I just want junk food for my brain.

…watching every documentary on the Titan implosion. Whenever there are competing documentaries coming out around the same time about a singular topic (I’m looking at you, Fyre Fest docs from years ago) I will watch all of them to compare my mental notes. I need a full deep dive – pun intended – on the situation.

…loving all the summer blooms! I have been working hard to water my plants and at some point I’ll get to weeding because my yard is looking so sweet. I went to the MOST beautiful wildflower themed wedding shower over the weekend and there was a bloom bar where you could make your own bouquet to take home. Is this not the most gorgeous idea?

…looking forward to a rot day! May was  and June has been certified cuckoo bananas and I am ready to have a day to lay on the couch and watch TV in the air conditioning. I don’t know when that day is exactly but a gal can dream…right?

What is it about Titan! I also have been watching any and all documentaries about Ocean Gate. Stockton Rush was so irresponsible.

We’re Sarah and Molly

Sarah and Molly were bloggers many moons ago – back in the earlier 2000’s when blogging was all the rage and we spent the first 30 minutes of every work day (in the office we shared together) AIM’ing links back and forth to each other to catch up on all the tea. We launched The PR Edit in 2024. Less & More is the newest chapter in our blogging journey, focused on motherhood musings, shopping secrets, life lessons, and our usual chit chat.

We are so happy to have you on our corner of the Internet.
