Why is finding the perfect dress so dang difficult?

I love a good wedding! I like to dance and drink delish mocktails and get all fancy for a night out. But why am I having the hardest time committing to a dress? My cousin is getting married in a few weeks and while I have the gift locked down, childcare for the evening set up, and saved a hairstyle I want to try weeks ago I am still without a dress. The emperor has no clothes, baby, and she needs some.

Too many choices may be a prison because I will find an option and then thing weeeeell, I am going to keep looking. I love a Ms. Frizzle moment but don’t want to look cartoony. I love tulle so much but don’t want to be too over-the-top. I love a capelet but don’t want to serve mother of the bride realness. As I shop for my beautiful cousin’s cocktail attire, Fall wedding, here are some options I’m keeping in mind.

Betsey Johnson ($139)

Glam: I love Betsey Johnson and it is so beautiful!

Glum: No tulle? No sequins? Is it dressy enough for cocktail hour?

Cider ($57.90)

Glam: I am a lover of bows. I like a big bow moment and velvet is so beautiful for Fall!

Glum: Is Cider shady? I need to research. The price seems too good to be true and I am trying to de-Shein my life.

Nordstrom ($458)

Glam: The bustier design! The polka dots! So chic and fun

Glum: The price.

ModCloth ($129)

Glam: The flowers! The neckline!

Glum: It doesn’t feel fancy enough. Maybe the right accessories would glam it up?

Unique Vintage ($110)

Glam: Velvet and jewel tones and sparkle, oh my!

Glum: Is it costume-y? Would it be too hot when I am busting a move on the dance floor?

Etsy ($70)

Glam: I love all the details and the sleeves!

Glum: Is that green too Spring-y?

No matter what I wear I can’t wait to celebrate love and dance the night away! What say you? Which dress should I add to cart??
