Last year, Sarah and I had so much fun putting together a bunch of gift guides for all price points and recipients. I thought I’d try again this year, with our newly minted personas firmly intact. With that, these are the top gifts I’d give a minimalist mom (ie: gifts to put on our own wish lists, ladies!). I’ll start by saying that I think my self care gift ideas from 2024 are all still VERY applicable and perfect for a minimalist mom, especially one who needs some much needed relaxation (who doesn’t, right?). As Sarah mentioned in our intro post, I’m definitely not a TRUE minimalist, but I think I qualify as a minimalist who still likes “stuff.” So with that in mind … let’s get going!

A high quality weighted blanket from Bearby
BUY BEARABY WEIGHTED BLANKET: Bearaby Website, $269 (currently on sale for $242!)

We all know how I feel about sleep quality. Nothing enhances my zzz’s more than the perfect amount of covers on top of me while I’m snoozing. I’ve had a weighted blanket for many years now, but really, I’m ready for this upgrade. This one is heavier (I’m asking for the 15 pounder!) and made of a much higher quality material than my current weighted blanket. This is the perfect gift for a mom who loves a practical gift that she’ll get a ton of use out of. BTW, yes, this was on my list last year. And it will continue to be. Until I actually, ya know, get one!

Speaking of practical gifts with a ton of potential for use, a new fitness tracker for Garmin is a great idea.
BUY GARMIN FITNESS TRACKER: Amazon, $429

I’ve had my current iteration of this watch for almost four years (it was a Christmas gift then, too!) – I wear and use it heavily every day. I track steps, workouts, sleep and stress levels to see if I’m recovered enough to attempt a tough workout. Never has there been a gift that I’ve gotten down to a lower cost per use! 10/10. Highly recommend.

A consumable gift is ALWAYS a good choice for a minimalist who doesn’t want to own a ton of “stuff.” If she drinks coffee, why not keep it coming for her with a Sightglass Coffee Subscription?
BUY SIGHTGLASS COFFEE SUBSCRIPTION: Sightglass Website, prices vary based on products chosen

I might be a bit biased, since this cult fave cafe for West Coasters is a client of mine, but I’m lucky enough to have a stash of their stuff on hand at all times, and let me tell you, it’s life changing. When I smell these beans brewing on a Saturday morning when I wake up, I KNOW it’s gonna be a great weekend! Plus, as they say, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Make her home smell even better with a top of the line essential oil diffuser.
BUY VITRUVI DIFFUSER: Amazon, $97.49

If you want to talk about making your home smell good, let’s talk essential oils. The breed of minimalist I am still loves to have scents wafting through the air, but I’m not huge on the candle collection. To me, it feels most efficient and effective to have a couple of well placed diffusers and then you can switch up the scents for every season (fun fact, then you can ALSO scent your laundry seasonally with the same oils on wool dryer balls, but that may be something to discuss another time). I’ve had the same diffusers for a decade, so I wouldn’t mind an upgrade and this one from Vitruvi is so sleek and versatile.

Speaking of versatility, which IMO, is the cornerstone of buying a gift for someone who isn’t into a ton of “stuff” because it means she’ll get a ton of use out of it, like these beautiful earrings.
BUY MEJURI HUGGIES: Mejuri Website, $398

Yes, they are pricey, but let me remind you about the “cost per wear” formula that makes it make sense (and not just with girl math!). These are the PERFECT every day earrings that elevate any outfit just enough. They are timeless, classic and tasteful, so in just one year, you could have the cost per wear of these puppies down to about one dollar. That’s pretty darn amazing.

From head to toe, give her some really awesome socks.
BUY BOMBAS: Bombas Website, $15

I know that at first glance, socks don’t SEEM like a good gift. But honestly, I love ’em. These are higher quality than she’d probably spend on herself if she bought them and if she’s a millennial (like me!), she probably needs a few options that aren’t the “no show” socks that just show your age and scream “I’m super old!” There are so many options for colors, lengths, materials, weight … something for everyone.

Give her the gift of endless entertainment!
BUY DISNEY+ (Hulu, HBO Max, ESPN): Disney+ Website, starting at $12.99 a month

Honestly, the subscriptions can really add up. For someone who doesn’t want to own a lot of stuff, but is well entrenched in her “enjoying her mortgage” era, this is the most thoughtful gift you can give. Disney+ is a gem all on its own for all those classic Disney movies to watch with your kiddos (just introduced mine to the Swiss Family Robinson and they LOVED it!) but there are some good documentaries and TV shows also. We’ve gotten into 99 to Beat as a family, for example. Add in HBO Max for the deluxe package – we haven’t had it personally since we splurged last year to binge watch The Sopranos (I had never seen it!), but there are so many good options I’m always eyeing.

Any other great ideas for minimalists out there? I’d love to hear ’em in the comments!
